Belt tracking has challenged maintenance teams since conveyors were first used. Traditional solutions – like belt guides, snub rollers, or crowned pulleys – are often expensive and ineffective. AMMdrive PRO lug technology ensures flawless belt tracking through two self-reinforcing mechanisms:

• Precisely engineered sprockets
  The belt is securely locked in its upright position by a specially designed sprocket centerpiece. These sprockets maintain consistent alignment on both the drive and return shafts, eliminating misalignment at its source.
• Guided support from slider bed strips
  Slider bed strips, positioned to engage with the drive lugs, guide the belt steadily across the full conveyor length – no extra guiding components required.

AMMdrive belts are produced in different materials (PVC, TPU & TPE), thicknesses, colors and with different features. Therefore, each belts represents unique specification tailored for the need of your conveyor and application.

AMMdrive belts made with TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) deliver an excellent balance of flexibility and durability, making them a reliable choice for many demanding applications. They’re ideal where hygiene, oil resistance, and abrasion protection are essential.

AMMdrive belts with TPE (Thermoplastic Elastomer) are built to handle tough environments where heat, chemicals, and mechanical stress play a role.

With temperature resistance up to +110 °C, they also maintain excellent stability in sub-zero conditions – staying flexible, crack-resistant, and mechanically sound without becoming brittle.

TPE belts are ideal for applications requiring high product temperature and aggressive cleaning routines. Thanks to their hard top layer, thicker 2-ply versions offer outstanding mechanical strength and long-lasting durability.

AMMdrive belts with PVC (polyvinyl chloride) coating offer a smart, economical choice for general conveying applications.

With a working temperature range from -15 °C to +80 °C, they deliver consistent performance in both food and non-food settings. PVC stands out with its natural UV and chlorine resistance, making it especially suited for food industry environments where intense cleaning routines are common.

The material is easy to fabricate, supports a wide range of belt constructions, and provides excellent dimensional stability at a great value.

AMMdrive is a hybrid belt solution that merges the key benefits of synthetic, modular, and homogeneous belts into one design. It delivers positive drive, self-tracking, durability and hygienic performance without slippage or elongation – even in high-load or high-temperature environments.

Problem description
Friction-driven belts in high-speed systems suffer from elongation, especially under start/stop cycles and heat buildup from friction. They require frequent retensioning and are often tracked using ropes, which can wear out or detach. At speeds above 2 m/s, even slight misalignment can lead to belt damage. While modular belts don’t elongate, they become excessively noisy at high speeds.

In wide and short conveyors – where the length-to-width ratio is low – belts are prone to severe tracking issues. This leads to frequent belt damage, guide wear, and unexpected downtimes due to misalignment. Traditional V-guides wear out or detach under the high lateral forces and heat caused by friction.

Tracking is achieved through positive sprocket engagement and lateral wear strips that guide the belt across the entire conveyor length. This eliminates the need for tensioning or V-guides, extending belt life and ensuring stable, low-maintenance operation.

Problem description
Wide Z conveyors suffer from belt tension buildup in bends, especially in center-driven or friction-driven designs. This causes the belt to jump out of its path, overstressing V-guides – particularly in wide configurations. Complex mechanical supports like grooved rollers, omega drives, and guide strips are required, increasing cost, space, and maintenance.

AMMdrive solution
Using PRO lug technology, AMMdrive belts enable low-tension, positive tracking in wide Z elevators – without grooved pulleys or V-guides. The belt is supported by dual-edge lugs and center support rollers, distributing force evenly and ensuring smooth, stable running – even in conveyors up to 1500 mm wide. This simplifies construction, improves hygiene, and reduces mechanical stress in critical bend areas.

Problem description
Synthetic belts require high tension and are prone to tracking issues, especially on small pulleys. This leads to slippage, misalignment, and short belt life. Modular belts can handle small diameters, but their hinged design traps debris, making them unsuitable for hygienic applications.

AMMdrive solution
AMMdrive belts – especially in the SP (Small Pulley) range – are designed to run over tight pulleys and nosebars without slippage or tracking adjustments. They offer a clean, compact, and maintenance-friendly solution for small pulley systems.

All AMMdrive belts are tailored to your specific needs. On the top of welding our PRO drive lugs, based on your specific needs, we weld cleats, mount bordoflex, splice belts endless and punch perforations.

On the top of that, our belts are supplied with sets of drive sprockets and support rollers in 24 different sizes to match your needs.

– PRO mini sprockets and rollers are based on a 25.5 mm pitch and available in 6 to 28 teeth sizes, with diameters ranging from 47 mm to 226 mm.
– PRO sprockets and rollers use a 51 mm pitch and are also offered in 6 to 28 teeth sizes, with diameters ranging from 95 mm to 290 mm.

All sprockets are available with a variety of bore types – from round 20 mm with keyway to square 60×60 mm – to accommodate different shaft and drive configurations.

PRO sprockets come in several specialized versions to suit specific environments:

– Standard
– Self-cleaning for use in hygiene-critical or debris-heavy conditions
– De-icing for operation in freezing environments
– Two-part sprockets for easy maintenance and sprocket replacement without shaft disassembly

AMMdrive belts utilize a highly reliable mini finger splice, featuring 8×5 mm fingers. This splicing method ensures a strong and consistent bond by providing a large surface area of contact between the belt ends. This design not only offers exceptional durability but also maintains the belt’s flexibility.

For more demanding and heavy-duty applications, especially with PVC and TPE belts, a step splice can be used. This splicing method is known for its enhanced tensile strength and durability, making it perfect for heavy loads.

In addition to endless splicing, AMMdrive belts can also be fitted with mechanical fasteners. These fasteners come in stainless steel for general use and plastic for metal detector applications.

Bordoflex sidewalls add another layer of customization to AMMdrive belts, with each material offering unique options.

• TPU belts can be fitted with short wave or normal wave bordoflex, ranging from 20 to 150 mm.
• TPE belts are compatible with short wave sidewalls, available in heights from 20 to 55 mm.
• PVC belts provide the most extensive bordoflex selection, including short wave (2 mm), normal wave (5 mm), and two fabric-reinforced versions (3.8 mm and 5 mm thick).

This wide variety ensures that each belt type can be tailored to specific application needs, from gentle product handling to heavy-duty edge containment.
